INDIA:An earthquake of 4.2 magnitude hit Mizoram's Champhai district on Friday afternoon, the ninth quake to rock the state in the last one month, officials said. The earthquake occurred at 3.56pm and the epicenter 33km Southwest of champhai, according to the Notional center for seismology. The depth of the earthquake was 10 km, it said. The northeast falls in the high seismic zone and earthquakes are frequent. A Series of quakes have hit tha region in the last one month of those were in Mizoram, causing damages in champhai district.
