28/07: In the event of a crisis like the Karona epidemic, the central government will be given an immediate pension, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said. "The current government is very sensitive to retired employees and senior citizens," he said. Therefore, the Central Employees' Pensions Act has been amended. So that temporary pensions and temporary gratuity users can be issued on a regular basis without any disruption. Retired central employees will receive temporary pensions during the Kovid-16 epidemic until regular pensions are issued and other formalities are met, according to government directives.
Let's just say that retired employees get pensions when the government issues a pension payment order. Those who have retired or are about to retire need a Pension Payment Order (PPO). It is a 12-digit number. This number is required by pensioners every year to submit a life certificate.
Why was this decision taken?
In cases such as Lockdown, government employees may have difficulty submitting a pension form to the head office, or they may be unable to file a hard copy of the claim form with the ‘Service Book’ at the relevant pay and account offices. Especially if both offices are located in different cities, this problem becomes even more difficult for pensioners. So the government has decided to help them in times of crisis.
